And we can document our travels on a hand-held camera, put them to a themed song of kind

Pretty sure I posted Jay Jay Pistolet fairly early on starting this blog. Hooked on us is such a great song about how he accepts they're over and how he has to see her out with other people. He writes beautifully about it in an accepting and sensitive way. He's not the angry jealous ex boyfriend type.
"you can move on quickly if you want to,
forget about our history if you must"

Happy Birthday You is also adorable. So chilled and easy to listen to, it's something I go for if I'm lost as to what I want to listen to. I know it will inspire me to look up another artist or put me in the mood to bake a cake, aha.
"But I know that you're not broken
And I know that you're not bruised
I know I'm easily forgotten
So Happy Birthday You"

There are beautiful things, if you know the places they hide

I'm in self deprecating mode today and listening to David Ford is getting me well on my way to depression.

He is the best artist to listen to when you're feeling angry, alone, rejected, upset or any mildly negative emotion. I listen to him a lot.

I think I'm an emotional person and I just hide it well as Jimmy Saville said it's "easier that way"

Anyhows this is a beautiful song and David Ford is my ideal man; a self loathing, drug enthusiast who can write beautiful lyrics and music.

You lost the starlight

Hammock-You lost the Starlight in your Eyes

I am enjoying listening to this slightly chaotic, directionless music at the moment. It's strangely soothing to hear that lots of other people appear to be lost with me. Reading the comments is also reassuring as they're not sob stories I don't think, these are people who have genuinely loved and lost and whose feelings aren't fleeting and are likely to impact the rest of their lives. The up in the air feeling of this song is relaxing and the blending of sounds is perfectly executed. Sit back in the sun and enjoy.

Headed for the open door, tell me what you're waiting for

Youngblood Hawke-We Come Running

These guys used to be Iglu & Hartly and they're still fabulous.
Such a catchy tune and judging by the comments it's free on Itunes somewhere, not in the UK unfortunately. The fade in effect they use is fun but the American accents let them down a little, but I guess they can't help that!

They are just good fun and enjoyable to listen to, they don't depress me which is something I guess; particularly today. It's got a lovely upbeat sound and bouncy rhythm.

It kills me to say that I want to be with you

The whole world is so full with love and sex, but primarily romantic love, that it has come to occupy the forefront of many peoples brains. That along with getting a job and a mortgage.
I don't think this is right, I hate being forced in to things and this feels like I'm being forced into a life of confinement and conforming. It's the industries controlling the media who are doing it and because sex sells it is everywhere. It's in every television programme either as the main focus or as a major side plot. Does it really have to be? Can't friendship or hatred or music be enough of a draw. I think all of these things are as universal as love aren't they? Maybe they're not as appealing or they are plentiful enough to hold little interest anymore. I'm not sure but then I'm just a consumer lapping it up like the rest of us.

Anyway Wolf Gang are fab. They're a four piece from England and they sound like a cross between MGMT and some 80s band I can't quite put my finger on.

Back to back
The King and All of his men The girl in this video is gorgeous, I want to be her. His dancing is fab also and I love to end scene.

Do you tell me what I wanna hear and keep your secrets stowed?

God I love an Irishman!
And two are even better than one.

Hudson Taylor are brothers from Dublin and they are not only gorgeous but very talented. They're playing a gig in London soon so I shall be making my way up for that I think. I need a gig partener though, it can be a lonely adventure on your own hanging by the bar.
Anyway I'm thoroughly enjoying their music and they are very talented. I don't know which is Harry and which is Alfie and to be honest it doesn't really mater although I would imagine the one in the hat is Alfie, hat wearing and the name Alfie go together well don't ya think?

Chasing Rubies is quite upbeat and lively and the maraca in the background is just fab.
Hideaway I like the guitar in this and the stripped back style, the Irish accent also comes through beautifully. Can't complain hey?

Edit
They remind me of the Tallest Man on Earth especially in this slightly creepy video
Harry and Alfie-Not to blame

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean

Should I be embarrassed?
Yes.
Am I?
Certainly not!

I remember this came out on the Now whatever around April when I was about 11/12 and my dad hated it and took the piss and said he sounded like a sheep baaaing when he was singing. I can see what he means but I insisted It actually has the potential to be a really depressing song but it never hits me quite where it should. Not sure why.
I also like I hope you dance, it may be the creepiest and cheesiest video ever but I really enjoy the song. It's the sort of song that if you could guarantee no one would hear you you would belt it out at the top of your voice. The chorus where he goes "I hope you dance, it's the way the constellation goes" (or something similar) That I just want to shout every time. Really get some piped up aggression out.
If tomorrow never comes
I hope you dance
