My new obsession. Very little to say as I'm in a listening mood at the moment but he is fab, like a soft Frank Turner. This is in my opinion much better than the original, I like his voice a lot more but the original provides the melody and lyrics which I think a fabulous. They make me think of May time and happiness. That feeling that you have everything to live for, it's a fleeting feeling but is definitely the best emotion I've ever felt. The feeling of the possibilities of life. I want more of these moments. But this guys videos only have like 600 views which is ridiculous! He is fabulous and I have a feeling he is on to something interesting. Perfect summer song this and despite the slight chill in the air I have the windows open and the sun is out so I'm insanely happy. Summer 2012 here I come, it's going to be amazing. Can't wait to see him live, which I shall be doing in the near future.

Hello Bestival

Not so much a band this week but hello Bestival 2012. The line up is amazing such a mix of music! All of it wonderful. Justice kind of epitomise bestival though; a bit dancey, rocky, poppy but always good fun.
And the headliners haven't even been announced!

This is the most fabulous idea ever and I'm so glad to have known about Frank for so long and had the pleasure of listening to these gems of musical glory. This is something brilliant to do with a year and he does it wonderfully. It must be such a lot of work but there are a lot of people who appreciate it I think.
I have expressed this all desperately badly but you get my point aha!

This guy is fabulous, he is now the lead singer of The Vaccines. I must admit I prefer his old stuff but the vaccines are fab too but I just feel this is more from him and has stuff he wants to include in it rather than what the label wants. He has a rather distinctive voice which is a bit softer here than with the vaccines, it's a bit sharper and scathing more recently. I love how all the decent musicians seem to know each other. Alan Pownall shared a flat with him and Marcus from Mumford and sons knows him and Laura Marling is in the photo. I want to be a musician!
Such cute lyrics as well, what man really feels like this though? It's just girls who write songs like this surely? Maybe I'm mixing with the wrong boys!

My fave song of his is "The Blackout" however the videos for it aren't great so I decided to publish this one. He has a seriously good voice this young man and has a certain skill for composing country music. I wish I knew someone like this who could just whip out their guitar and start playing. This is my ideal sort of boyfriend, musical and impulsive.
