You can drive away, drive away so far

Newton you beauty.

He is one of my top 5 artists ever I think. He's so much fun but then sensitive at times. All his albums have been true to his own sound but progressive not with the times but with himself I think. Heartfelt lyrics with lovely acoustic sounds.

"Take everything you own and put it in your car
You can drive away, drive away so far
Drive into a lake,
And take off all your clothes, set your clothes on fire
Now you are alone
You've got all you know written on your skin"

Love him lots.

Pull me out from inside, I am ready

This song makes my best friend cry and I've never really understood why. I understood that yeah it's sad but there are many sad songs out there and I can certainly think of more upsetting ones; Wires-Athlete, Fuck you-Damien Rice. But I listened again today and I understand where she's coming from the slow pace is just upsetting and when he sings "I am fine" you get that feeling of knowing what he means. You're not fine at all, you're far from fine but you say you're fine to make the person who's making you feel awful feel better.

Watching it with the scenes from Cruel Intentions makes it sadder I think, that's an awful film and the plot upsets me even though I haven't seen it.

We're capable of so much more than the statistics on the news

My God I love the ginger dreadlocked musical magician that is Newton Faulkner. He's also up for a laugh, see Celebrity Juice he was on. He's just wonderful and produces such enjoyable music. This song is uplifting in a strange was as it's quite minor sounding but the lyrics are positive and optimistic. It reminds me that there are good people in the world doing good things and people who are genuinely kind.

This song on vinyl is one magical thing I'm not giving up yet

Now I know what I have found

Love it when a song reminds you of a time and a person. This song does just that and I think it's fab

me me me me me

Ben Montague-Sweet Amelia

Simply because this song has my name in it do I like it haha. He also has a really good voice live but in his recordings it sounds autotuned and poppy and awful ahah maybe see him live to give a proper verdict.

I will let you go

One of my best friends said to me yesterday not to get too attached to this guy I'm seeing as he's going off to university. I think I'm too attached already.

It's a horrible position to be in, there's a date at which I have to let him go and live his life without me. Potentially forever...that's a horrible thought after all the stuff he's said to me and the feelings I have for him. I'm happier, simply happier not in a loved up way but he makes me happy and knowing there's someone I can turn to makes me happier. It's ridiculous but it's happened. We/I should have had more restraint and not started anything and then it would be hard but I wouldn't have become attached to him. I'm rational and some would say hard when it comes to emotions and feelings but I now understand a little more. I'll take it well just may be less happy, of course I can't show him that.

I will let you go-Daniel Ahearn

Look at the wonderful mess that we made

And this is why I hate big companies and corporations. They take all originality and tear it from bands.

The original video to flaws was incredible. It wasn't even a homemade video it was from a film called Badlands or something. I haven't seen the film, that's not the point they put boxes all over the screen and they said "please don't take this down....lets finish what we started." It made you feel included, like being part of this rebellious gang who listened to amazing music. And now they've gone and made a shit video that makes no sense at all with relatively hot skinny girls dressed as skeletons on a beach, on rides with members of the American public dancing to his music. Great, another music video that is trying to be deep but for me ruins the song and whole essence of the band. This has happened in a mere year.

Which do you prefer honestly?
Flaws-new one with stupid skeleton girls
Flaws-original with cool film rip

Drunk!

I'm not a game player. Speaking to one of my girlfriends today and she was saying how she's in a mood with her boyfriend but she's told him she's not angry with him....
And she's not calling him because apparently if he wants to speak to her he will phone her. They're both as stubborn as each other. I just don't understand surely it's best to resolve shit before it gets too deep and turns  into something you can't rectify. I'm not big on confrontation in any form. Be it good confrontation of a problem or confrontation towards a person I avoid it at all costs but I'm not stubborn and if someone asked me something I would answer honestly and sort my issues out. I just don't understand jeopardising something good over something stupid, I'm not a fighter contrary to popular belief I can't be bothered by it and hate the idea of people hating me.

Anyway here is Ed Sheeran doing what it's likely I'll be doing on the 30th when a certain someone goes off to university http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2fOum_KWQU&feature=relmfu
Except I hope to have a dog talking to me not a cat, plus I think I'll need something stronger to make me think my dog is talking to me...

You're my blood, you're my holy wine. You taste so bitter and so sweet.

Still such a banging artist. James Blake made a big splash back in 2010 and then did the collaboration with Bon Iver which was undeniably something special but since then he doesn't seem to have produced anything new, maybe he's just taking his time. His voice is brilliant it's like soulfully moaning...? ahah

A Limit to your love

Below is possibly my favourite song by James Blake, it's touching and sensitive and the piano is gorgeous.
"I could drink a case of you darling and I'd still be on my feet."
"Stay with him if you can but be prepared to bleed"
A case of you

You'll never be alone again

It was hard to pick a line from this song to use as the title...it consists of about 2.

But friends beware, if you pass out in my house this will happen to you.

Justice-We are your friends

Music is like air to me, and I just want to help you breath

God I love Oliver Tank.
I love you
The title of this song makes it sound one of two things. 1. Horrific. Some smooshy American trash from some lust struck girl. 2. Incredible. Deep soulful music inspired by someone amazing produced by a true artist.
It is the latter.

He's like that cool friend who is just effortlessly amazing. He's just chilled and seems to get on with things without making a big deal about it. Producing music with no great big promoted release he just quietly uploads these gems to the internet and releases them to the world. I need to see this man at work, I imagine it is one hell of a gig. Stoned or not.

Help you breathe

If you're the chosen one, how does it feel to be loved by no one

Lotta love for Wolf Gang at the moment. He looks like some 80s pop star and I can't remember who. I'll post again when I remember.

Dancing with the Devil

I want to see him do a live DJ set or something as he seems to have an amazing grasp on music and knows what works. Maybe soon.

He looks a bit like Bowie...no that's not who I was thinking of. Hmmmm.

Have you seen my heart, have you seen how it bleeds?

Waaaah Brian Fallon is such a God.

His voice is so gruff and sexy and easy to listen to. And this song is pretty lush too but I don't understand the video at all.

Their new album may take a little while to get used to but it is a keeper and a grower. They are amazing live as well saw them at Reading on my friends shoulders screaming along pointing at Brian Fallon.

This is the lead single from the new album-45
