When everything is lonely I can be my own best friend

I miss being an emotional teenager.
Emotions were allowed back then! You could blame it on hormones and everyone would accept it. As a grown up you need a little more self control.

Re-listening to Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst) has brought a whole bucket full of memories flooding back! I was quite a strange one, very isolated as a teenager. I've always had a love of music but it used to influence me a lot; as it did most kids I guess! I just love the flow of this song and his voice floating along with the twangy guitar. Very easy to listen to but also depressing.

Reminds me of teenage years:
"I got a flask inside my pocket we can share it on the train"
"What was normal in the evening by the morning seems insane"
"The mask I polish in the evening by the morning looks like shit"
"And I'm not sure what the trouble was that started all of this"

All those house parties getting far too drunk on our parents vodka thinking our lives were so tragic because the boy we liked didn't like us back! Those honestly were the best days for me! I remember once I was walking  home through my town looking so hungover with a bottle of fruit juice after prom and running in to PE teachers but being so blissfully happy having had such a wonderful time with all my friends and knowing I had the next few days to just sleep it off in the sun- the days of GCSE summer.

This line still applies to my life however:
"What was simple in the moonlight by the morning never is"
The morning is always the worst part of the day, the moonlight means I made it through another day.

Why am I so emotional? No it's not a good look gain some self control

Sam Smith is so great. I want him to be my best friend.

I think he would be such a laugh and give great hugs and comfort.

Anyway his songs are wonderful his album is released in two weeks time and my boyfriend has gifted me the vinyl (best present ever!) Also "Latch" that he collaborated on with Disclosure would be my perfect wedding song if I marry my current boyfriend aha. He seems very genuine, thanks people heart-fully and seems like a kind hearted person with a fantastic singing voice and song writing skills. He's so on the money for this year he is giving the public exactly what they want.

I don't want to talk about it, I just wanna hold your hand

Rhodes is a young man from Hitchin with one of the most beautiful voices I have heard.

I saw him at Live at Leeds on Saturday and he was the highlight of the day for me. Perfect setting to see him performing in a church ( unsurprisingly the best acoustics of the day). I feel like such a fan girl I've never spoken to an artist after a show before but he was very accomodating before rushing off to Amsterdam and I bought a vinyl (which I asked him to sign, it's got to be done) which I'm chuffed with.

Someone with such a captivating presence and pure, incredible voice cannot go unnoticed. His song writing skills are also very impressive; catchy and poignant lyrics artistically put together

Sam Fender- Close to you

If his voice wasn't enough to fall for the lyrics are cute too. This guy has such a great voice, soothing and powerful and strong.

Saw him supporting George Ezra a few months back and seeing him again this weekend in Leeds. Solid performance for such a young artist which will hopefully turn in to huge potential.
