The bus broke down

Wow. Read the lyrics.
The bus was late
And forced us all to congregate
Twenty-seven strangers
Made to stand and wait

The time went by
The sun went down
A baby cried
I just stood in line

But there is no cue
No stage hand saying what to do
And you are me
And I am you

The bus it came
And everybody loaded in
Twenty-seven strangers
In a moving can

The fluorescent light
Doubled everyone inside
The baby's face reflected
In the shopfronts in the sky

But faces change
And rules they all get rearranged
And photographs
All fade away

The bus broke down
At the graveyard on the edge of town
Twenty-seven strangers
Separate without a sound

So I walked home
Just feeling nothing on my own
Noticing that tree of yours
I've been watching it grow

So that's why I'm late
My dearest one what can I say
And tomorrow it could be the same
When I do it all again

Possibly some of the best lyrics I've heard/read in a while. Incredible. You don't know what's going on until the end and you can take what you like from it. Is the subject he is talking to dead? And she has a tree growing by her grave as a memory of her? He always comes to visit her and that is the purpose of his journey but he doesn't know the purpose of the other peoples journeys. We are all so focussed on our own lives that we don't notice everyone else going about their business, in their own little bubbles. It's ironic that we are surrounded by strangers yet we are all connected "You are me and I am you" we are intertwined yet we have such little concern for other peoples lives that we roll along next to them without noticing them. Most of the time. Such simplistic and beautifully constructed verses and lines, this verse I find magical and I don't know why "The bus it came
And everybody loaded in
Twenty-seven strangers
In a moving can"
There is no person telling us how our lives will pan out and where to go next or what line to say or when to exit from someones life, "there is no cue//No stage hand saying what to do" and I'm not sure what he's saying when he sings "But faces change
And rules they all get rearranged
And photographs
All fade away"
Is he referring to memories fading, the memories of her fading? And the faces of the people around him changing while his routine stays the same? Different people but he has the same embarrassing disregard for them? Intriguing and I can't think right now.

Ron Pope-A Drop In The Ocean

I'm not catching up on the past 15 or so days! And easy song today, good classic American love sound and I really need that right now!
I really like his voice and the lyrics and rhyme he uses. Some lines are a little excessively passionately sung but still it's making me feel a little less agitated and chilled a little.

I hate school. It's such a bitchy place and everyone seems to know everything about each other. I also thought I'd never say this but I need a hug, pretty desperately.

I would do it all the same

Big Audio Dynamite-Situation no where
If this can be classified as a song then it is one of the most entertaining I have heard in a long time! It's so so so entertaining which, essentially, is what music should be. It is a little like a combination of noises that don't quite fit together but somehow work in a strange way but hey who's complaining? Well thank you mother for introducing me to this weird marriage of sounds that has been passed of as a wonderful song. Also the guy who says "Rhythm and Melody" sounds like a spitting image of beardyman in his kitchen antics video, check it outttt.

We can't lose now

Nizlopi-Start Beginning

These guys form one of the most beautiful bands ever. It's a real shame they split up I don't think fame suited them and probably scared them. They write such beautiful and true lyrics. They explained the lyrics before they performed them on one recording and it's about doing what you love NOW and not letting anyone get in your way, similar message to JCB if you think about it. I wonder what these lovely people are doing now? Other projects or working in production and song writing? Who knows, but it is a real shame they're not making music under the Nizlopi name any more.

It's anybody's guess

Reading took it out of me so I can't do too many songs today maybe 1 or two when I feel up to it, here is 1

Dry the River-New Ceremony
These guys are amazing and put on a proper good show at Reading. They are adorable and are holding a secret party in London soon which I hope to be a part of, desperately. Anyway they're mellow but they have got a bit of a strange tone to their folky music which makes it interesting to the normal stuff. I like the way each verse almost rises and falls, it gets optimistic and then very pessimistic very quickly.

Yes my writing is getting significantly and noticeably worse as time passes. I think my mind is deteriorating but I just have nothing else to say.
